I have my website setup but whenever you visit my website it shows the ip in the url bar. How do I change it so it displays www.mywebsitename.com ???? |

How did this slide under radar.
Sounds like your using a URL redirection
e.g. http://www.mydomain.com -> http://123.123.123.123
and not true DNS? Is this the case?
In XP/Vista/7, use nslookup and check the IP your domain is pointing to, if it is not yours, then this surely is the case
C:\Users\Me>nslookup mydomain.com
Server: dns.someisp.com
Address: 123.123.123.123
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: mydomain.com
Address: 213.123.213.123
C:\Users\Me>nslookup 213.123.213.123
Server: dns.someisp.com
Address: 123.123.123.123
Name: redirect.some3rdparty.com
Address: 213.123.213.123 |
