Computer OS: Windows XP Professional SP2 – Clean Install with Windows Firewall Turned off
LAN: Seven computers (a 4 port hub and wireless access point) connected to the router which is connected to Verizon FIOS.
ISP: Verizon.net
Router: Netgear RP614 v3 with port forwarding enabled on Port 80
Apache Version: 2.0.63
Apache Configuration File: Untouched – Default
Problem: I can only access the server from a machine (all of them) that is behind the LAN (firewall, router) but no one else can

I want to set up a server and began this project about three months ago – I am a complete noob and this will most certainly be the first of many questions I will have along the way – I thank everyone in advance for the help and after some time, hope to use the knowledge I gain from this project to help others.
So far, I have used 2 versions of Apache, the newest, and v2.0.63 (read somewhere this was the best for Windows). Problem is the same on both, I can only connect using machines that are behind the firewall…outside connections get the “Internet Explorer Cannot Display” message. When I disable port forwarding or turn windows firewall on, then I cannot connect at all, but I do not know how to test further.

This is a clean install of XP with only Apache running and Apache has not been modified from default installation. I am sure there is something simple I have not done. If there is any information needed that I did not provide, please let me know. Thanks!

Figured it out - everything is fine with Apache, etc. - my ISP (verizon) blocks port 80 on residential accounts...have to upgrade to business.
