Hi,

I've a problem with the apache that i have on my mail-server machine. The error message is

Faulting application Apache.exe, version 2.0.55.0, faulting module php5ts.dll, version 5.1.1.1,... (eventID = 1000)

I believe this error has been causing the web to go down for the past two weeks. However, it happens randomly in time.

What should i do to work around this? btw, it's on XP Pro OS.

Thank you in advance

Did you Google for "eventID 1000"? This usually indicates a DNS error.

Some Microsoft KnowledgeBase articles on the subject are Event ID 1000 — DNS Server Configuration and Event ID 1000 Is Logged in the Application Event Log

p.s. I have to laugh - the first kb article says it was updated on "November 13, 2008"!

Hi TDonovan,

I have googled it and couldn't find a hotfix for the application apache.exe.

Here is the link
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=1000&eventno=1475&source=Application%20Error&phase=1

This is the description of the error for eventid = 1000 that my pc is experiencing.

Your ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

It is more likely that your problem is with the DNS setup on your machine, or maybe a problem with the DNS server you use - not Apache.

While the version of Apache you use is pretty old (October, 2005) - there have not been any DNS-related fixes in Apache 2.0 since version 2.0.55.
It seems unlikely that this is an Apache bug, else others would have reported it. Not impossible of course - just unlikely.
