I have 2 HP servers.
both have:
ram: 4gb
system hdd: 2x36gb1000rpm mirror
cpu: 1x5140

Software: Windows 2003 Standard Edition.

I installed apache 2.2.6 from http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?p=8901
with mod_fcgi.
Also I have php 5.2.3 installed.
I have an PHP application that runs on these servers.
What is the best configuration for this kind of server, for best performance? I mean in httpd.conf.
If I test them with this: ab -n10000 -c15 http://example.com/ they fail after ~ 3000 requests.
Thanks.

What is in your error log about that "fail"? Does apache crash?
