In my earlier post I mentioned I could not get my server started after installation. The server would start and immediately stop when I tried to fire it up. 5 days later this was the problem:

1st the error log:

[Tue Mar 06 19:59:23 2007] [notice] Apache/2.2.4 (Win32) configured -- resuming normal operations
[Tue Mar 06 19:59:23 2007] [notice] Server built: Jan 9 2007 23:17:20
[Tue Mar 06 19:59:23 2007] [notice] Parent: Created child process 612
[Tue Mar 06 19:59:24 2007] [notice] Child 612: Child process is running
[Tue Mar 06 19:59:24 2007] [crit] (OS 10022)An invalid argument was supplied. : Child 612: setup_inherited_listeners(), WSASocket failed to open the inherited socket.
[Tue Mar 06 19:59:27 2007] [crit] Parent: child process exited with status 3 -- Aborting.

Next the solution:

1.START
2.Settings
3.Network Connections
4.Right Click on the connection
5.Propeties
6.Select TCP/IP
7.Properties
8.Advanced
9.WINS tab
10.UNCHECK Enable LMHOSTS Lookup
11. Drink a beer

Hope I saved someone out there 5 days of their life!
I'm getteng hammered!
Best regards

DAD
