The server was installed and configured on a windows xp machine. installed php 5.1.6. the server works when i load a html file, but when i load a php file, i get a httpd error saying that an invalid memory location was accessed.

Any help

This is the message box that I get:

httpd.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x007a7372" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

There are 2 options. Your Ram is defect ( I don't think so) or your installation has some issue. You should reinstall your Apache and PHP.
