I have installed xampp for my school to use as an intranet. I have also installed wordpress on that system. It works fine on local computer.
Now, I can see the XAMPP home page from other computers, but can't find any of the folders located in the XAMPP/htdocs folder?
Is this possible or am I missing something compeletly?
clab is the host computer name and 192.168.22.47 is ip address
i have tried to go to http://clab30/wordpress/index.php
and
http://192.168.22.47/wordpress/index.php
and
http://192.168.22.47/xampp/wordpress/index.php
Any suggestions? |

Do you want to serv that domain only inside your LAN?
I think you set up a vhost with that name clab30
Than there are two possible solutions
you can create in each PC in LAN an entry in the hosts file.
%windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
or
you can set up a DNS server that all PCs know that name. |

Thanks James for the answer, turns out it was a wordpress setting that was wrong. I needed to change the home url inside wordpress from localhost to clab30.
Thanks for taking the time to give suggestions. Have a good one. |
